We are hoping to increase our service and outreach in the month of July.  We have several opportunities to serve, but we are also asking you to look for ways to serve others as we look to be the salt and the light reflecting Jesus to our community.  I am overwhelmed by what the congregation already does and am excited to see the opportunities The Lord will provide for us as we seek to demonstrate our love with our community.

This month we will be making sandwiches each week for the TLC Summer Food Program.  A group will be participating in the Loaves and Fishes Ministry serving the homeless in Johnson City.  We will be having a Social Night at the VA @ Mountain Home.  A group of Ladies will be having a game/makeover night at the East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy.  We hope to deliver meals for the TLC Center.  We will need help in the Community Garden.  The TLC Center also has a need several days through the week to help prepare meals for the route.  There are other events we are trying to work out, but also would love to hear of opportunities that you may find.

We see this each week in the bulletin, but if you are like me, we need to remind ourselves of it each day:
